Atelier Viré Vernier 15-inch Leather Briefcase

Vernier is a briefcase made the slow way: full-grain hides vegetable-tanned over six weeks, cut and saddle-stitched by hand in Atelier Viré's Normandy workshop. The leather starts a warm cognac and darkens and softens into a patina that is yours alone.

Inside, a padded compartment takes a 15-inch laptop, with slip pockets for a tablet, notebook and pens. Two solid brass turn-locks close the flap and a detachable, adjustable strap lets you carry it over the shoulder or across the body.

In the box: briefcase, shoulder strap, cotton dust bag and a tin of leather balm.
